People love their dogs. We show our dogs how much we love them by showering them with toys, affection, praise and, often, tasty treats. We dole out these goodies on a regular basis, on a random basis and sometimes for no reason at all.
It’s the start of a new year and while we are always full of resolve for how we would like to improve ourselves, our dogs are often left out of the picture. So, let’s rectify that and get our four-legged friends into the act to help improve their behavior for the coming year.
How many times have you met a dog that pees when you say hello or cowers, shivers or backs away when approached? The ears go down, the tail curls underneath, the dog might roll over onto its back or it may look as if it’s done something wrong.
Dog’s bark. It’s what they do. They bark to get your attention. They bark because they’ve heard something and want to let you and, apparently, everyone else know. They also bark to guard their houses and fenced yards. Some dogs, (not unlike people) bark just to hear the sound of their own voices.
