Tis the season to be furry, fa la la la la, la la la la. And, furry it was at last week's CityDog Howliday Muttmixer, when peeps and pooches donned their gay apparel and mixed and mingled with fellow dogs and dog lovers.

The second annual CityDog Howl-at-the-Moon Muttmixer was a hit, with 100+ dog lovers and their furry, four-legged ghouls and goblins gathering at the Woodmark Hotel for a costume contest with awesome prizes and of course, tricks for treats.

Halloween can be a nightmare for some pets, even if they don’t live on Elm Street. It is the second-most common holiday for dogs to go missing (following Fourth of July). Between the streams of trick-or-treaters, ghoulish costumes and bags of chocolate, dog owners need to take the proper precautions when preparing for Halloween night.
